My Story
After many years of friends, neighbors, relatives and realtors asking for design and remodeling advice, despite a somewhat unconventional path, I gave myself "permission" to pursue my passion.
Turns out my path has provided a unique background which sets me apart in the interior design field. In addition to my experience and love for art and design, I earned an undergraduate degree in civil engineering. As a result, I am able to interpret blueprints, visualize designs 3-dimensionally, communicate effectively with contractors and raise critical questions during a remodeling project. My clients may fully envision their finished project in advance through the use of product boards, drawings and CAD (computer-aided design tools).
With ten years of sales, service and management experience at IBM, I have embraced a commitment to excellence and customer service, and learned the value of strong communication and listening skills in my client relationships. I understand teamwork, project management and attention to detail.
Personally trained by Barb Schwarz, the “creator of Home Staging”, I am also an Accredited Staging Professional, serving three years on the Board of the Dallas-Ft Worth Chapter of Accredited Staging Professionals.
As a home designer and stager, I am able to combine my previous professional skills and experience with my artistic talents and intuition. I am thrilled to be pursuing my passion which benefits us both. I love what I do … my heart is in my vocation. I work diligently, enthusiastically, passionately …. assisting my clients both with the selling of their current house and in the creation of a beautiful and livable new home.
